Taste the forbidden fruit: This is the story of a devil, disguised as a winegrower—wearing a beret and clogs—who succumbs to temptation and becomes a grape thief in the vineyards of Saint Mont. His name: Belzébuth DEVIL, born in 1981, like the Saint Mont appellation...
From the foothills of the Pyrenees to the rolling hills of Gascony, the Plaimont vineyard stretches across uniquely rich terroirs. Over time, Plaimont, which brings together 600 winegrowing families, has become a key player in Southwestern wines thanks to its iconic vintages. Its plant heritage (its plot of vines listed as a Historic Monument, its ampelographic conservatory) and its built heritage (Château Arricau-Bordes, Château de Sabazan, Château Saint-Go, the Monastery of Saint-Mont, Domaine de Cassaigne, etc.) represent the excellence of Plaimont's production.
The Plaimont Winegrowers' Union covers the five appellations of the Pyrenean Piedmont and Gascony; AOC Saint-Mont, Madiran, Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh, Jurançon and IGP Côtes de Gascogne. All express our winemakers' commitment to perpetuating meticulous work in the vineyard and magnifying the unique terroirs of the Pyrenean foothills.
