The Fabre estates have been family properties for three generations in the Haut-Médoc and Margaux appellations. It was in 1964 that Gabriel Fabre bought Château Lamothe-Cissac in Cissac-Médoc, near Pauillac and Saint-Estèphe. If the Romans already cultivated vines on these lands, production had ceased at the time of the redemption. Gabriel Faure had 33 hectares of vines replanted, bought the vines of Château Landat. When his son Vincent moved in, he bought Château La Tonnelle. Since 2013, Château Bellevue de Tayac has also been part of the properties of the Fabre family, which today manages more than 92 hectares of vines in the Haut-Médoc and Margaux AOPs. Since 2020, the Fabre estates have joined the Club Vignobles and Signatures, https://www.vsclub.com , grouping of about twenty families of winegrowers.
