Martinique, between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean

White sand, black sand, sea oil or powerful breaking waves or even waterfalls, rivers and mangroves. The overseas department invites you to discover and relax.

Latest edition : 11 January 2014

The dry season has just begun on this tropical island where summer is never far away. With sea water at 25° and warm temperatures all year round, Martinique is the ideal destination for all winter chilly people. But the quest for the most beautiful beach turns out to be a headache: on the 300 km of coastline, a hundred coves and coves invite you to swim, dive, surf or simply contemplate.

Accommodation

The Bakoua hotel in the southwest, at Pointe du Bout, is one of the most beautiful hotels in Martinique: private beach, maritime link to Fort-de-France. If you find a promotion, great.

In the morning, when I woke up, I crossed the sandy beach in just a few strides before swimming. Then, off to breakfast. Heaven !
