Château Moncassin dates back to 1259, when it was a fortified feudal residence. Rebuilt in 1865 in the Renaissance style, the château has a vast vineyard which was ravaged by phylloxera in 1878. When the Delmotte family took over ownership of the château in 1965, no more wine was produced. In 1998, Vincent Delmotte decided to revive the Château Moncassin vineyard, restore and modernise the winery and devote his life to sharing this tradition. The château is surrounded by 11.5 hectares of vines.
Passionate about his profession and a local storyteller, Vincent has passed on his vocation to his son Etienne, and as harvesting owners, they are keeping the Château's history alive.
The estate has been awarded the High Environmental Value 3 label.
