Christmas Punch

When the agricultural rum of Guadeloupe is arranged with fresh fruits and spices.

Latest edition : 29 December 2022

To warm up the winter, nothing like a little taste trip with this rum arranged with flavors of pineapple, orange and coffee. It's juicy, refreshing, a little tart. The coffee brings a hint of bitterness and leaves the palate with the taste of fresh coffee.

What do Brittany and Guadeloupe have in common? The rum. More specifically, arranged rum. It all started in 1997, when three friends opened a restaurant in Saint-François in Guadeloupe, Les frères de la Côte. In his small kitchen, Alain creates his own arrangements offered to guests as a digestive.

Three years later, they opened a second restaurant in Camaret-sur-Mer in Brittany. There too, the arranged rums are offered at the end of the meal. As customers ask for more, the three friends decide to create BreiZ'île to launch the artisanal production of arranged rums in the Finistère region. Twenty years later, the range has grown significantly and BreiZ’île arranged rums are regularly awarded at the Concours Général Agricole.

The recipe for this success ? The quality of agricultural rum that comes from the best plantations in the West Indies, the freshness of the fruit cut by hand just before bottling, a fair dose of sugar and spices, homemade syrups and exclusive recipes. Without forgetting the know-how of Alain, who trusts only his nose to make the assemblies. He knows each producer, has carefully selected the different products from sustainable or even organic farming.

Well, that shows that you can be Breton and excel in making arranged rums like in the French Antilles!

Alcohol abuse is dangerous for health. To consume with moderation.
