At this pivotal time of the year - winter is over, but spring is not really here yet - our bodies and minds need to gently regain energy. The spa resorts of Baden-Württemberg lend themselves perfectly to this. Especially since they offer overnight packages at low prices.
Vita Classica, the spa complex in Bad Krozingen, is one of them. This dynamic complex dedicated to well-being as well as to getting back into shape, has a wide range of treatments and activities.

Its sources were discovered in 1911. Quite by chance because we were looking for ... oil. Alas, instead of black gold, it was hot water that gushed out of the boreholes. Annoyed, officials nevertheless sought to take advantage of this hot water by installing a wooden tub next to the derrick. The residents were delighted, few had a bathroom. Quickly, the benefits of this water were noticed. Analyzes having shown the virtues of this water, curists began to come to enjoy its benefits ....

Bad Krozingen's thermal mineral water has one of the highest concentrations of carbon dioxide in the world (over 4000milligrams of minerals per liter). It has a relaxing effect and stimulates blood circulation.
The fine bubbles of carbon dioxide, reabsorbed by the skin, act on the vessels and the nerves. Water is indicated for cardiovascular, neuromuscular and skeletal diseases such as rheumatism. In other words, it is almost a delight to relax in this hot water.

Six indoor pools as well as two outdoor pools invite you to vary the pleasures. Jacuzzi, waterfalls, neck showers and other (very powerful) water jets allow you to quickly relax.

In addition to aquagym lessons (free) in the large indoor pool (divided into two to allow swimming), many sports activities in the water are available on registration: aqua cycling, aqua fitness, aqua circle, aqua zumba or again, aqua jogging. There is even a program promising weight loss.

For an additional fee, you have access to the saunas section. Eight saunas invite you to relax at temperatures of 45 to 90 °. From 11 am to 10 pm, various "infusions-diffusions" reinforce the beneficial effects.
Do not miss the ceremony with the Tibetan bowls in the Himalayan salt sauna.

In addition to a wide range of well-being treatments, Vita Classica has a real gem: backing onto the thermal baths, the House of wellness (Wohlfühlhaus) offers treatment rituals that invite you to travel to Japan, Morocco, Turkey and India.

Each ritual takes place in a dedicated room, decorated in the colors of the different countries. These treatment areas were born from an idea of Rolf Rubsamen, general manager of the thermal baths. This great traveler and follower of authenticity, drew his ideas from the source, in Japan, Turkey, Morocco and India.
The therapists went there for their training, the care products and furniture are imported from these different countries.
Far from the hustle and bustle of the swimming pool, treatments are also offered in spaces for two.

Puspajothy Dorasamy Spindler watches over the Indian room. To begin the Ayurvedic ritual, one of the most beautiful and enjoyable, she serves a soothing herbal tea.
While the feet relax in a basin filled with hot water and semi-precious stones, she massages the head, shoulders and arms to release tension.

The treatments continue with an energetic massage of the body with an oil enriched with herbs with multiple virtues that nourishes the skin.
After a time of rest, with healing stones on closed eyes, Puspajothy invites you…. outside, in the small Indian-inspired garden. It is cold ?

It does not matter, since you are going to climb into a wooden tub filled with thermal water at 36 ° C, to bubble, a glass of sparkling wine in hand. The wooden tub of the "Wohlfühlhaus" is a nod to the beginning of spa therapy in Bad Krozingen. Daily stress is far, far away!

The management of Vita Classica is constantly innovating in order to ensure the attractiveness of the site. A beautiful columned gallery has enlarged the building. It is in this new space that Sonja and Alexandra have installed their cozy tea room, the decoration of which is reminiscent of the 1950s, cosy and comfortable.

But we are faced with a big dilemma: the two women celebrate as it should be the "coffee cake" dear to the Germans with excellent homemade pastries. The choice is difficult! The coffee comes from a local roaster, and Sonja and Alexandra also serve small snacks. The name "Sahnehäubchen" (little whipped cream headdress) suits this pretty tea room outside the thermal baths perfectly.

In the nearby store "Für dich" (for you), Eva Kersten offers a wide choice of swimwear. But not only. She knows the virtues of semi-precious stones which she transforms into unique jewelry. Not to mention the unusual decorative items.
