Chablis, the cuvée of a centenary

The Chablis 2020 cuvée bearing the mention “Special Cuvée 1923 – Authenticity Guaranteed” recalls the birth of the La Chablisienne group.

Latest edition : 24 April 2023

Grape variety :
Chardonnay, parcels of vines 20 years old on average. Aging for around 14 months on fine lees, in vats and barrels.

Eye :
Pale gold color, limpid and brilliant with light golden reflections.

Nose :
The first nose is expressive with notes of ripe yellow fruit (peach, apricot). It opens with more mineral, slightly smoky, flinty notes.

Mouth :
Lively attack, with sparkle. The wine is balanced, concentrated with a finish on toasted, roasted notes. A beautiful power and persistence.

Wine pairing :
A complete wine that reflects the Chablis terroir, to be enjoyed just for pleasure as an aperitif, or with grilled fish.

Halfway between Paris and Beaune, Chablis opens the golden door of Burgundy wine. The 6800 hectare vineyard, spread out on both sides of the “Le Serein” river, extends over 20 municipalities. La Chablisienne is present throughout the vineyards, villages and appellations of Chablis.

Each year La Chablisienne produces around thirty different cuvées and crus, all with a strong personality, across the appellation: six Grands Crus including the prestigious Château Grenouilles), eleven Premiers Crus, Chablis and Petit Chablis..

Since 1923, in Chablis in Burgundy, the meticulous work of the winegrowers associated under the banner of La Chablisienne gives birth to wines that time continues to magnify. From a fantastic mosaic of "climates", they reveal pure mineral emotions. It was well worth a special vintage!
