The history of the estate began more than 200 years ago. A Scotsman, John-Lewis Brown then built a real little Scottish castle in Cantenac, in the heart of the Margaux appellation. Thanks to his demanding work, Château Cantenac Brown has been classified as a Grand Cru since 1855. The vines flourish on the plateaus of Margaux and Cantenac in the heart of the Margaux appellation. The vast park around the castle is, with its arboretum, a true reserve of biodiversity. The castle also produces its own honey. Since 2019, the Le Lous family has invested in this beautiful vineyard, respecting the land and nature. Significant investments are made, such as for the construction of a new 5000 m² cellar entirely in raw earth and solid wood from Aquitaine which must guarantee thermal inertia and perfect humidity for the aging of the wine.
