French burger with duck confit

For a little fall pleasure, we love the Landes-influenced burger from Maison Lafitte.

INGREDIENTS (for 2 people):

2 duck legs confit from Landes Maison Lafitte (Price: €15.40 for 730g)

2 brioche burger buns
a few leaves of lamb's lettuce
1 red onion, thinly sliced
1 carrot, grated or julienned
2 eggs

For the sauce:
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons of honey

 

 PREPARATION:

Heat the duck legs in the oven or in a pan, let cool slightly and shred the meat.
Place sauce ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a steady boil over medium heat. 
Add the duck confit to the pan and mix.
Grill the burger buns in a pan with a little fat, remove them, then cook the fried eggs.
Spread the onions and carrots on two slices of burger bun.
Add the lamb's lettuce, then the sauce and shredded duck mixture.

Place the egg and then the burger top.
